Located along the Northern shores of Lake Victoria, this 24000-hectare wetland is popular for being the most reliable place where visitors have a chance of seeing the Shoe Bill Stork. The shoebill stork is classified as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, with not more than 6000 species left worldwide.
