1. Bookings
1.1 Sherura Africa Safaris provides transportation, accommodation bookings, trekking permits, and many other services in cooperation with independent suppliers.
1.2 To make a booking, you must provide accurate and complete information. Sherura Africa Safaris is not responsible for anything that might arise from giving inaccurate information.
1.3 For a booking to be confirmed, 30% of the full payment must be made.
2. PAYMENT AND PRICING
2.1 All prices quoted by Sherura Africa Safaris are based on the pricing structure applicable to the relevant product or service at the time of quotation and are subject to confirmation in the Booking confirmation.
2.2 Unless stated otherwise in writing, prices include Value Added Tax BUT exclude any additional taxes, levies or bank charges.
2.3 Sherura Africa Safaris reserves the right to correct any computational or pricing error at any time before the issuance of a Booking confirmation, and where reasonably necessary; thereafter.
2.4 Deposits are generally non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
2.5 Sherura Africa Safaris' trading currency is the Uganda Shillings(UGX), unless expressly stated otherwise.
2.6 The client bears all bank charges, card fees, international transfer costs, and exchange-related charges.
2.7 Payment of the balance is due no later than 20 days before the trip, unless stated otherwise.
3 CANCELLATION
3.1 All requests for cancellation or substitution of any booking MUST be submitted in writing to Sherura Africa Safaris by the client or an authorised representative.
3.2 A cancellation shall be effective only upon written acknowledgement of receipt by Sherura Africa Safaris.
3.3 Requests communicated verbally, via telephone, social media platforms or by any means not capable of reliable record-keeping shall not constitute valid notice.
3.4 No refunds shall be payable for unused services, early departures or voluntary curtailment once travel has commenced.
3.5 Cancellation fees are calculated as a percentage of the total quoted or confirmed value of the affected booking unless stated otherwise.
3.5.1 The following cancellation charges apply:
60days or more prior to arrival 15% charge
59-30 days prior to arrival 30% charge
29-15 days prior to arrival 45% charge
14-7 days prior to arrival 75% charge
6-3 days prior to arrival 90% charge
2 days prior to arrival 100% charge
4 HEALTH, SAFETY AND ASSUMPTION RISK
4.1 The client acknowledges that most Sherura Africa Safaris services operate in remote, rural or wilderness environments such as National Parks and conservation areas with limited infrastructure and access to emergency services.
4.2 Such environments and activities inherently involve risks, including but not limited to:
4.2.1 Encounters with wildlife
4.2.2 Uneven terrain, extreme weather conditions, and environmental hazards.
4.2.3 Limited or delayed access to medical facilities, evacuation services, or emergency response
4.2.4 Risks associated with travel on gravel roads, remote tracks and undeveloped areas.
4.2.5 Risks associated with adventure, outdoor, or nature-based activities.
4.3 These risks may exist notwithstanding the exercise of reasonable care, skill, and diligence by Sherura Africa Safaris and its suppliers.
4.4 By making a booking, the client acknowledges and accepts on behalf of themselves and all Guests, the inherent risks associated with the relevant product or service.
4.5 The client confirms that all Guests:
4.5.1 are in a physical and medical condition suitable for participation in the booked activities.
4.5.2 have been advised to seek appropriate medical advice where necessary and accept personal responsibility for their conduct, decisions and actions.
4.6 The client and Guests agree to comply strictly with all safety instructions, guidelines, rules, and directions issued by Sherura Africa Safaris, its staff, guides or suppliers.
4.7 Failure to comply with safety instructions may result in:
4.7.1 exclusion from an activity or service.
4.7.2 termination of participation
4.7.3 forfeiture of any fees paid, without refund.
4.8 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sherura Africa Safaris shall not be liable, and the client hereby indemnifies and holds Sherura Africa Safaris harmless, from and against any loss, damage, injury, illness, death, cost, claim, or expense of whatsoever nature, whether direct or indirect, arising from or in connection with the inherent risks associated with wilderness travel, outdoor activities, or remote environments.
4.9 This limitation applies irrespective of whether such a loss or injury arises before, during or after the provision of the relevant product or service.
